Your role will focus on sustainable fish habitat assessments and regulatory permitting.
As a Senior Fisheries Biologist, you’ll lead the environmental assessment process, from design to reporting, ensuring compliance while collaborating with project leaders. You'll provide mentorship to junior biologists, guiding them through impactful environmental management practices. Your ability to liaise with clients and regulatory bodies will be key in developing innovative solutions for project challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee environmental studies from design to conclusion
• Advise on habitat mitigation and restoration measures
• Manage regulatory processes for project approvals
• Facilitate project planning with senior leaders
• Mentor and train junior environmental team members
Requirements:
• 8+ years of related fisheries biology experience
• Bachelor's degree in relevant biological sciences
• Registration or eligibility as RPBio in BC
• Proven track record in report writing
• Valid BC driver’s license required
