Position: Skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic Role
Join Finning as a Heavy Duty Mechanic in Terrace, where you’ll focus on maintaining and repairing diverse construction and small engine equipment. Your technical skills will be essential in providing excellent customer service and support.

This position at Finning requires an Interprovincial Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification and a thorough understanding of gasoline and diesel engine management systems. You'll work both in the shop and the field, utilizing Caterpillar SIS and ET for diagnostics and technical requirements. Attention to detail and strong communication abilities will be key to succeeding in this hands-on role with a 5x2 schedule and potential overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform troubleshooting and repair on construction tools

• Interact with customers for service requirements

• Use Caterpillar SIS and ET for equipment maintenance

• Maintain accurate technical documentation

• Support the Finning team in various tasks

Requirements:

• Interprovincial Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification

• Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems

• Valid driver’s license with a recent abstract

• Knowledge of compact construction equipment

• Ability to work in the field and meet safety standards
