Position: Heavy Equipment Operator for Road Maintenance
Join the team as a Heavy Equipment Operator focused on road maintenance, snow clearing, and utility work under the guidance of a Roads Foreman. Bring your skills in operating heavy machinery to ensure excellent service delivery.

This role requires a Grade 12 education and at least three years of experience in heavy equipment operation and maintenance. You will handle tasks such as digging near utilities, equipment inspections, and manual labor duties like drainage ditch maintenance and street sign upkeep. Your mechanical aptitude and knowledge of municipal infrastructure are vital for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate graders, bulldozers, loaders, and more equipment daily

• Conduct daily inspections and report defects to the Foreman

• Assist with drainage maintenance and other manual tasks

• Prepare daily operational reports and maintain records

• Support staff training and orientation as required

Requirements:

• Minimum three years' related equipment operation experience

• Valid Class 3 B.C. Driver's Licence with air brakes endorsement

• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of infrastructure

• First Aid training is preferred

• Ability to perform heavy manual labor
