Position: Roads Maintenance Technician at City
Join the City of Terrace as a Roads Maintenance Technician in Public Works. This regular full-time role involves operating heavy equipment and maintaining crucial municipal infrastructure.

The City of Terrace is seeking qualified candidates for up to two full-time positions in Roads Maintenance II. You will utilize graders, bulldozers, and other essential machinery while performing various maintenance tasks. The role emphasizes safe operation of equipment, understanding municipal needs, and maintaining operational records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate graders, bulldozers, and backhoes daily

• Inspect equipment for maintenance and fluid levels

• Assist with drainage, brush clearing, and road marking

• Train and orientate new staff as needed

• Respond to emergency call outs and standby requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum three years' experience in heavy equipment operation

• Grade twelve education with mechanical aptitude

• Valid Class 3 B.C. Driver's Licence with air brakes endorsement

• First Aid training and knowledge of WorkSafeBC Regulations

• Physical fitness for heavy manual labor
