Sr Accountant

We’re hiring a Senior Accountant to support core accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance activities. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end close, and providing analysis that helps leadership understand company performance.

• Lead the monthly close process, including preparation of financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules
• Analyze financial statements for accuracy and discrepancies
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and customer accounts; support A/R collections as needed
• Prepare and file required federal, state, and local tax forms
• Generate commission reports and insurance‑related financial documentation
• Support year‑end audits and work directly with external auditors to ensure GAAP compliance
• Review and recommend improvements to accounting processes and controls

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
• 5+ years of public accounting experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger, and cost accounting
• High proficiency with accounting systems (Quick Books, Net Suite, Sage Intacct, Salesforce, or similar preferred)
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
