SAP Business Applications Manager – Manufacturing & Supply Chain

Responsibilities- Manage business application operation support via global helpdesk procedures.
- Lead and mentor the local application team, guiding direct reports and junior specialists while collaborating with the global IT team.
- Coordinate vendor relationships for software updates, licensing, and support.
- Ensure compliance with security and compliance policies defined by global IT.
- Facilitate end‑user training sessions and maintain necessary documentation.
- Oversee change requests, minor and major projects for USA and Canada.
- Resolve Tier 2 user system issues.
- Support Honeywell Opti Vision Manufacturing Execution System, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Business Objects, and other relevant applications.
- Provide issue and deliverable support to functional areas, ensuring user acceptance testing and training processes are followed.
- Participate in change management and infrastructure alignment processes.
- Evaluate new software solutions for business requirements.
- Maintain professional communication with all organizational levels.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Regional IT Manager; after‑hours support may be required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 12‑15 years of experience supporting business applications in a manufacturing environment.
- Preference for SAP experience; other ERP experience is acceptable.
- Technical proficiency in software development, databases, business application support, and system integration.
- Project management experience with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
- Primarily office‑based with occasional travel to manufacturing sites.
- On‑call availability for critical business system issues; travel between the US and Canada and other sites as required.
