Responsibilities
- Provides security analysis and design oversight and assistance within the Office of Information Technology.
- Install, configure, manage, and monitor intrusion detection/prevention systems and hardware/software firewalls.
- Conduct proactive and reactive vulnerability and risk analyses of existing systems and implement standards and procedures to mitigate risk. Implements action plan(s) to remove vulnerabilities.
- Assist immediate supervisor in development and maintenance of a campus-wide information technology awareness and training plan.
- Draft standards, procedural and policy documents and provide insight into topics for campus-wide security and awareness campaigns; recommend inclusion into the IT/Campus environment to senior leadership.
- Conduct proactive assessments on all ERP systems including Microsoft and Oracle database management systems.
- Install, update and monitor enterprise endpoint protection systems – end‑point protection, data loss prevention such as McAfee and Splunk, and data center protection systems.
- Initiate ideas for new directions and demonstrate realistic designs for development and implementation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Security Stack: MS Endpoint protection and defender, MS Sentinel.
- 3-4 years of experience as a Systems Administrator with a focus on cyber security.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Endpoint manager, Microsoft Endpoint configuration manager, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft 365 Defender.
- Salary: $65,000 - $68,000 per year.
- Life Insurance: coverage equal to two and one‑half times appointment salary, max $100,000; employer pays.
- Medical, Dental, Prescription Drug Coverage: cost shared; coverage begins first of the month after appointment.
- TIAA Retirement Contributions: 10% of base salary, immediately vested; 40 investment options.
- Auto Enroll: 3% deducted pre‑tax for retirement; opt out within 90 days.
- Long Term Disability Coverage: 66 2/3% income protection after 180 days, available after 3 years.
- Fee Waiver Program for staff, spouse, dependent children coursework and tuition.
- Sick Leave: 12 days per fiscal year, unlimited accrual.
- Vacation:
Pay level 11 and below accrue up to 15 days per year; above level 12 accrue 20 days.
Permanent position based out of Terre Haute, IN. Fully onsite.
