SUMMARY:

saturn petcare inc. is seeking a skilled Systems & Security Administrator to administer and protect the company’s IT infrastructure, identity systems, network, application integrations, and security operations at our Terre Haute, Indiana manufacturing facility.

This is a hands-on, technical role that combines systems administration with cybersecurity across a hybrid on-premises and cloud environment, including Microsoft 365 and Entra , zero-trust identity controls, endpoint and threat protection, network administration, backup and recovery, and workflow automation. The position is the day-to-day technical owner of these systems and works under the direction of the IT Director, within the standards, plans, and priorities set by IT leadership.

The role supports continuous food manufacturing operation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identity, Access & Systems Administration
  Identity & Access Management (IAM): Administer central identity across Entra  (Azure AD) and on-premises Active Directory. Configure enterprise single sign-on, multi-factor authentication (MFA), Conditional Access policies, privileged access controls, and automated user lifecycle provisioning for joiners, movers, and leavers.
• Cloud & SaaS Administration: Configure, administer, and govern Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune) and core enterprise SaaS applications, including licensing, tenant configuration, and device management policies.
• Server & Virtual Environment Management: Administer physical and virtual server infrastructure, including host and VM provisioning, resource allocation, patching, monitoring, and capacity, availability, and lifecycle planning.
• Network Security & Infrastructure Controls: Implement and maintain network security controls and infrastructure supporting corporate systems, including firewall policies, VPN and remote access protocols, network segmentation between business and production environments, DNS/DHCP services, and wireless security. Maintain network documentation and enforce zero-trust access controls at network boundaries. Coordinate with external network operations teams on connectivity and infrastructure changes.
• Backup & Recovery Operations: Administer backup and replication operations (Veeam), monitor job success, and verify restore integrity through scheduled test restores. Execute and document the technical steps of disaster recovery testing under the disaster recovery and business continuity plans maintained by IT leadership and report results and deficiencies to the IT Team Lead.
• Integrations & Automation: Develop and optimize automated workflows and data integrations using Power Shell scripts, REST APIs, and webhooks to streamline operations across internal platforms.

Security Operations, Threat Management & Compliance

• Endpoint Protection & Vulnerability Management: Administer endpoint detection and response platforms, manage vulnerability risk assessments, and manage automated patch deployment across workstations and servers.
• Security Monitoring & Incident Response: Monitor security logs, identity alerts, and mail flow threats. Serve as the first responder for security incidents, executing documented containment and remediation playbooks. Notify the IT Lead of any confirmed incident without delay and elevate to the IT Director in accordance with the incident response procedure. Produce post-incident summaries for IT leadership.
• Data Security & Zero-Trust Governance: Implement and enforce data loss prevention (DLP) rules, sensitivity labels, email security filtering, and cloud security baselines aligned to a recognized control framework such as the CIS Critical Security Controls or the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Security Awareness & Escalation: Administer employee phishing simulation campaigns and user security training and serve as the escalation point for complex access and security issues.
• Compliance, Audit & Documentation: Maintain current system, network, and security documentation, configuration records, and runbooks sufficient for another administrator to operate the environment.
