A Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to patients in addiction recovery. Responsibilities include supervising care treatment services provided by LPNs, CNAs and other staff, developing and evaluating care plans, performing assessments, and communicating with the interdisciplinary team. The RN reports client concerns and changes in condition to supervisor and/or physician promptly.

• Assess clients’ physical and behavioral health needs and develop individualized nursing care plans
• Monitor client status and document changes in condition or response to treatment
• Administer medications safely and maintain accurate controlled substance counts
• Carry out physician orders and communicate significant medical or detox‑related changes
• Support safe medication self‑administration using proper client identification procedures
• Complete admission and discharge processes accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the treatment team to coordinate client care
• Educate clients and families on medications, side effects, and health conditions
• Maintain accurate documentation and provide shift reports to ensure continuity of care
• Assist with emergency services and ensure client safety at all times

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• 1+ year of nursing experience preferred
• Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric, or addiction recovery settings preferred
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills

• Active RN license in the state of employment or compact state
• Psychiatric Nursing certification preferred
