Candidate is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the patrons and employees of the property.

• Relay instructions to other Security Officers under Security Management.
• Understand the importance of guest safety.
• Maintain excellent communication skills and interact with the public.
• Remain professional and courteous at all times to both Security Officers and the public.
• Provide training to officers when required.
• Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations of the Indiana Gaming Commission, property operating procedures, and applicable laws.
• Assist with the destruction of used cards and dice from table games.
• Escort fills, credits, and documents to and from the cage and pit.
• Assist with escorting the casino drop team.
• Identify patrons at entry to prevent underage access to the gaming floor.
• Act as the shift dispatcher and coordinate on‑duty security officers.
• Drive a property vehicle or shuttle as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or equivalent. Candidate must have 1‑2 years of experience in the security field or equivalent.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Must possess intermediate PC skills. Microsoft Office experience required.

Certificates and Licenses:
Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the Indiana Gaming Commission.

Work environment: noise level is high. Candidate will be exposed to smoke on the casino floor. Candidate must be able to work in a fast‑paced and demanding environment.

Physical demands:
Employee must be able to lift up to 40 lbs independently and more than 40 lbs with assistance. The employee will be required to stand and sit for extended periods of time. Employee must be able to talk and hear in order to ensure proper communication. This job requires strong vision skills, including close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
