Position: SUPV IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/CUSTSPT) with Security Clearance
Duties
* plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the assigned technicians, ensuring that the advice and assistance provided complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
* exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
* coordinates with a variety of information technology counterparts and higher-level officials in the local unit as well as the gaining command and other federal and dod intelligence organizations.
* performs the same nonsupervisory work as that being supervised.

* this position conducts information assurance functions. The incumbent shall comply with the requirements of the certification program and will be required to obtain and maintain certification.
* certification requirements are outlined in dod instruction 8570.01-m qualifications military grades: e8 through e9 basic requirement: experience must be it related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, it certification), as appropriate gs-5 through gs-15 (or equivalent): for all positions individuals must have it-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

Experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment. Experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion. Experience serving as a technical expert and focal point for installation and configuration of hardware and software on personal computers. Experience developing, modifying, and testing overall system back up and recovery strategies for assigned systems.
