ACERO Building Components with 20+ years in the Carport Industry is looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our Team, because of business expansion.

Job Summary

Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records, and may also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Posting financial transactions and documentation using Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Receiving and recording receipts.
  • Making payments.
  • Verifying that required data has been received and recorded accurately.
  • Preparing a variety of reports and checklists.
  • Checking for accuracy in reports, figures and postings.
  • Reconciling and reporting any discrepancies found in the records.
  • Entering payroll transactions and running the payroll process.
  • Verifying the accuracy of vendor invoices (comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges) and confirming that the correct GL codes and department codes are used and ensuring proper documentation of approval.
  • Reviewing invoices for correct sales & use tax applied and assisting in applicable research.
  • Completing daily data entry of invoices in Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Communicating with vendors regarding invoice payments or other issues.
  • Ensuring invoices are paid in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
  • Recording daily credit card transactions to correct GL codes and department codes and ensuring proper documentation of approval.
  • Supporting the accounting department and performing any additional functions as needed to ensure the success of the department and Company.
  • Providing administrative and clerical support.
  • Any additional responsibility deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum education:

    High School Diploma.
  • Six months of administrative experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computers and electronic data processing; expertise in Microsoft Dynamics, Google Sheets, Adobe Acrobat, and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel.
  • Understanding of payments, accounting, and budgeting and working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, follow‑up, and problem‑solving skills;
    attention to detail and ability to create useful and actionable reports from data.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on a deadline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Problem‑solving skills.
