Financial Specialist Lead
The Financial Specialist Lead is responsible for driving day-to-day operational excellence by keeping the banking center in compliance with all bank policies and procedures. The individual contributes to a positive customer experience by processing transactions, opening deposit accounts, and delivering exceptional customer service. The individual has the opportunity to work closely with the banking center manager by mentoring other team members and assisting with complex transactions or problem resolution.
Additionally, the individual will work collaboratively with the banking center team to ensure that our customers get access to experts who can help them with specialized financial needs. Additional duties are:
- Processes transactions diligently and in accordance with established policies & guidelines
- Balances transactions and cash substantiating transaction negotiability and an adequate audit trail
- Balances end of day processes and teaches others to balance end of day processes
- Makes decisions and approves higher level transactions and tasks within established guidelines
- Uncovers customer expansion opportunities and refers customers to proper bank personnel
- Assists customers with the opening of deposit accounts and ancillary deposit services
- Performs account maintenance and thoroughly researches and resolves customer service issues as well as outages
- Mentors/trains new employees
- Requires work on physical bank premises
- High school diploma or GED
- 4+ years customer service in new accounts and account opening
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Word; basic keyboarding and calculator skills
- Must be able to do simple math and carry out written instructions
- Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential functions of the position
- Lifting in an office setting may be required up to 30 lbs.
