It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!
* We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.
*** Key Responsibilities
*** Identify, map, and analyze opportunities for improvement in
** manufacturing processes** (e.g., metal/wood fabrication, welding, assembly lines, material handling, automation integration) and
** business processes** (e.g., order-to-cash cycle, quote-to-order, procurement/supplier management, inventory control, production scheduling/planning, customer service workflows, and administrative processes).
* Lead cross-functional Kaizen events, value stream mapping (VSM), and rapid improvement projects (RIPs) targeting both shop floor and office/support areas to reduce cycle times, defects, rework, excess inventory, waiting, over-processing, and non-value-added activities.
* Apply lean tools (5S, SMED, Kanban, visual management, standard work, TPM) and Six Sigma methods (DMAIC, root cause analysis like 5-Why/Fishbone) to manufacturing lines and business workflows (e.g., streamlining ERP/MRP transactions, reducing quote turnaround time, optimizing supplier lead times).
* Develop and implement process standards, metrics dashboards, and control plans for key value streams, including end-to-end business processes from customer inquiry to invoice/payment.
* Track and report KPIs across operations and business functions, such as OEE, first-pass yield, on-time delivery, inventory turns, quote accuracy, order processing time, cost per unit, and overall cost savings from improvements.
* Collaborate with teams including production, engineering (automation/controls), quality, supply chain, sales/estimating, IT, and leadership to drive holistic improvements and sustain gains.
* Train and coach employees, supervisors, and cross-functional teams on lean principles, problem-solving, and operational excellence tools, fostering a culture of continuous improvement at all levels (shop floor to office).
* Support automation initiatives by identifying process bottlenecks that new controls/HMIs/robotics can address, while ensuring business processes integrate seamlessly.
* Promote safety, quality, and employee involvement by embedding operational excellence into daily routines and supporting Continuous Improvement Committees or similar programs.
** Qualifications & Requirements
*** Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Process Management, Operations Management, or related field (preferred).
* 3–7+ years of experience in lean/continuous improvement roles in manufacturing, with exposure to both production floor and business/office processes (metal fabrication, assembly, or retail fixtures experience a plus).
* Certification in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (required) or Black Belt (preferred); additional lean/TPM certifications valued.
* Proven track record leading projects that improve both manufacturing metrics (e.g., OEE, setup time reduction) and business metrics (e.g., order cycle time, inventory accuracy, process efficiency).
* Strong skills in value stream mapping for end-to-end processes, process simulation, and data analysis (Excel advanced, Minitab/Similar, Power BI/Tableau a plus).
* Experience with ERP systems (e.g., order processing, MRP) and how they impact business workflows. SAP specifically is a plus.
* Excellent project management, facilitation, communication, and change leadership skills to influence without direct authority.
* Hands-on, floor-and-office presence; comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while engaging with support functions.
