Essential Functions

  • Establish priorities, communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, appraise job results, coach, counsel, and discipline employees; initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, or procedures.
  • Hire, train, develop, and mentor staff to maintain maximum performance.
  • Provide creative leadership and direction to improve operating efficiencies, equipment performance, safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Manage workflow by monitoring process steps, setting process variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel, and developing reporting procedures.
  • Implement existing production standards and adjust as necessary to produce products within specifications.
  • Recommend and implement action plans to correct deviations noted during daily work or audits.
  • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other reports to determine production requirements.
  • Complete administrative duties including time and attendance system, holiday/vacation planning, production reports, back‑order reviews, past‑due lists, and safety violations/concerns.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Working knowledge of lean processes.
  • English required; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time‑management skills, deadline‑oriented, and detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
  • Positive attitude and action‑oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance standards.
  • Experience with scheduling, planning, or production coordination.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in manufacturing operations management preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an assembly manufacturing leadership role preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem‑solving skills and ability to make sound decisions.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (email, spreadsheets, systems).
Work Environment

Manufacturing plant environment with temperature fluctuations. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts, as needed.
