Essential Functions
- Establish priorities, communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, appraise job results, coach, counsel, and discipline employees; initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, or procedures.
- Hire, train, develop, and mentor staff to maintain maximum performance.
- Provide creative leadership and direction to improve operating efficiencies, equipment performance, safety, quality, and productivity.
- Manage workflow by monitoring process steps, setting process variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel, and developing reporting procedures.
- Implement existing production standards and adjust as necessary to produce products within specifications.
- Recommend and implement action plans to correct deviations noted during daily work or audits.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other reports to determine production requirements.
- Complete administrative duties including time and attendance system, holiday/vacation planning, production reports, back‑order reviews, past‑due lists, and safety violations/concerns.
- Working knowledge of lean processes.
- English required; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time‑management skills, deadline‑oriented, and detail oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
- Positive attitude and action‑oriented mindset.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance standards.
- Experience with scheduling, planning, or production coordination.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in manufacturing operations management preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in an assembly manufacturing leadership role preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem‑solving skills and ability to make sound decisions.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (email, spreadsheets, systems).
Manufacturing plant environment with temperature fluctuations. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts, as needed.
