Job Overview
Local Delivery Driver (CDL w/Hazmat) (Open)
Location:
Terrell, TX – Retail shop
- Pay: $27.50 per hour
- Potential for quarterly bonuses
- Work schedule:
Monday‑Friday, 7 am‑4 pm - Comprehensive family benefits: medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance

- Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to external and internal customer locations.
- Accurately record deliveries and pick‑ups on a load manifest, obtain customer signatures, and collect empty or rejected cylinders for return to plant or branch for refilling.
- Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.
- Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.
- Valid TX Class A or B Commercial Driver's License.
- Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
- Hazmat and Air Brake certifications.
- At least one year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five years.
- Road‑safety commitment: no more than two convictions, or two at‑fault accidents in the last three years, or one conviction and one at‑fault accident in the last three years.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Proficiency in reading and comprehending material safety data sheets.
- Ability to routinely lift 25–75 lbs, and occasionally lift >80 lbs with material‑handling equipment.
- Comfortable operating vehicles with hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is part of routine operations.
- Availability for occasional overtime.
- Ability to obtain and maintain safety credentials for customer site access.
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery such as forklift or Moffett.
