Description
TheABA-approved Paralegal Studies Program at Tulane University’s School of Professional Advancement (SoPA) seeks qualified individuals to add to its part-time Adjunct Lecturer pool and welcomesqualifiedapplicants.
Qualified applicants may be contacted if an opportunity consistent with their qualifications becomes available. Courses in the Paralegal Studies Program are offered in online and remote (synchronous) formats, in compliance with both ABA’s specific guidelines for paralegal education and SoPA’s requirements for online course development. All Adjunct Lecturers must complete SoPA’s self-guided training for teachers, adhere to SoPA’s pedagogical requirements, and complete required training on current with institutional and instructional platforms.
Openingsfor Adjunct Lecturers vary,depending onthe Program’sdepartmentteachingneedsand upon the subject matter experience of specific candidates. Candidates should submit their application and materials and will be contacted if a need in their area of expertise arises.

- J.D, Ph.D., MLS, or equivalent masters-level degree
- 3 to 5 years of law firm, NGO, military, oragency experience directly related to the area of expertise and involving work with paralegals on legal teams.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in litigation,corporate and/or real estate transactions, or regulatory compliance counseling; developing and presenting ABA-approvedCLE presentations;and/or university-level teaching.
- Applicants who are or have ever been licensed to practice law must have no history of formal disciplinary investigation or proceeding in any jurisdiction
