Compensation: To $110K, plus bonus.
Job Overview – Senior Financial Analyst Manufacturing – 34373Our client is seeking Senior Financial Analyst to join their division finance team. In this highly visible role, you will partner with plant operations and business leaders to provide financial analysis, operational insights, and decision support that drive profitability and continuous improvement. The position offers broad exposure to manufacturing operations, cost accounting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning while serving as a trusted finance business partner.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with plant leadership and operations teams to analyze financial performance and support key business initiatives.
- Lead and support the monthly financial close process, including financial analysis, journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting.
- Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly plant and division financial reports with actionable commentary on results and trends.
- Manage and analyze manufacturing costs, including inventory valuation, standard costing, product costing, manufacturing variances, fixed assets, and capital spending.
- Support the annual budgeting process, monthly forecasting, and long‑range financial planning while providing meaningful variance analysis and recommendations.
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities through root‑cause analysis and partner with operations to implement corrective actions.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with SOX, U.S. GAAP, corporate accounting policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support division‑wide reporting, cash‑based costing initiatives, accounts receivable reviews, and special finance projects.
- Research accounting, transactional, and system‑related issues while recommending scalable process improvements.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and help streamline finance processes to improve efficiency.
- Serve as a finance business partner by providing data‑driven insights that support operational and strategic decision‑making.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or financial analysis.
- Strong experience supporting monthly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation and product costing, fixed asset accounting, financial statement analysis, U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with proficiency in PowerPoint and ERP/financial reporting systems.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills with the ability to present financial information to operational leaders.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- CPA and/or MBA.
- Previous Controller or Plant Controller experience.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, People Soft, Khalix, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
