Timberline Construction Corp. is looking for a motivated Field Project Engineer to join our team in Tewksbury, MA. This is an entry-level opportunity to work alongside our Project Management and Field teams and get hands‑on experience with the construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and documentation of complex projects.

You won't be sitting behind a desk all day. You'll spend time in the field, work directly with experienced project and field professionals, and see how projects come together from plans to completion.

What You'll Do

As a Field Project Engineer, you'll support our Project Management and Field teams with a variety of technical and project‑related activities, including:

  • Assist with site assessments and field observations.

  • Support equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and validation activities.

  • Help troubleshoot technical and field issues and communicate them to the project team.

  • Monitor project progress and provide updates to the Project Manager and field team.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, engineers, commissioning agents, and field personnel.

  • Assist with quality inspections and help ensure work meets project specifications.

  • Maintain and update ETOP, commissioning, testing, and other project documentation.

  • Provide general project coordination and administrative support as needed.

What Your Day Might Look Like

Every day will be a little different. You might start the morning walking the jobsite with the Project Manager or Superintendent, spend part of the day working with a subcontractor or equipment vendor, and finish by updating project documentation or helping prepare for upcoming testing and commissioning activities.

You'll work closely with both the office and field teams
, giving you a well‑rounded understanding of how construction projects are planned, managed, and delivered.

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for someone who is curious, organized, willing to learn, and ready to get involved.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

  • Entry-level candidates and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to understand basic construction drawings and technical information.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Comfortable working onsite in an active construction environment.

  • Ability to work effectively with both office and field teams.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

A plus, but not required:

  • Experience or coursework related to the life sciences industry.

  • Experience with project documentation, commissioning, validation, or similar technical documentation.
