As a Teller Trainee at Rockland Trust, you are at the heart of our branches and the frontline of customer service, proactively exploring customers’ needs and offering personalized advice that develops and maintains relationships. - Engage in continuous customer support, exhibiting efficient, effective, and courteous service in person and by telephone.
- Provide customers with information on Rockland Trust banking products best suited to their individual needs.
- Perform transactions requiring a high level of accuracy, such as processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, cash checks, and other financial transactions.
- Make decisions alongside your immediate supervisor, with responsibilities expanding as you gain knowledge and experience.
- Work closely with the training team and branch staff to learn responsibilities and complete Rockland Trust’s Teller Training program.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable using technology, including computers, to facilitate business goals.
- Sales and service‑oriented personality.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
- Positive approach to interactions with customers and team members.
- Ability to work within normal office requirements, including long periods of standing and continuous customer support.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness and ability to work a flexible work week, which may include weekends, as customer needs dictate.
- Ability to successfully complete our training program.
- 1–2 years of teller experience or cash handling/customer service skills.
