What You Will Do
Lead integration of program solutions into the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), ensuring cost, schedule, and technical requirements are fully integrated into the execution plan.
Create and maintain compliant IMS on requirements provided by the customer, achieving necessary cost and schedule integration.
Support the team to ensure program plan and IMS are developed consistent with IPDS and program life cycle, reviewing IMS planned work for accuracy and identifying missing or improperly planned work.
Use and recommend alternative or supplemental program management plans and artifacts (HUM, MPS, First Unit Flow) to help the program team understand and manage the plan.
Conduct and explain Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) results to program teams, integrating mitigation plans into the IMS and schedule risks into the Risk Management process with the assistance of an SRA SME.
Provide weekly and monthly planning metrics on schedule status, baseline maintenance, critical path analysis, and schedule variance analysis, employing appropriate Earned Value Management System (EVMS) processes.
Mentor and train junior planners.
Qualifications You Must Have- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 8 years of Program Planning or Scheduling or Project Management experience, or an Advance Degree and minimum 5 years of experience.
- Prior work experience using industry scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera, Open Plan).
- Prior experience developing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and evaluating critical path and workflow.
- Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business process.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate technical, schedule, and cost in an EVMS environment.
- Ability to model program solutions into the IMS and interpret SRA results, schedule risk drivers, and schedule probability of success.
- Understanding of hardware and software development life cycle and exposure to agile methodologies.
- Experience managing and teaching proper scheduling and EVMS techniques for teams of varying size.
- Process improvement skills and ability to solve problems with the team.
- Familiarity with APEX financial systems and cost estimating BOE generation.
