The selected candidate will work alongside a team of 4–6 senior electrical engineers in a laboratory environment (not a clean room).
Pay range: $35–$42 per hour.
Responsibilities- Support engineers in the evaluation of AC-DC power supplies, including qualification testing with a strong focus on thermal analysis.
- Conduct thermal testing to characterize temperature rise relative to electrical load and cooling environments; assist with mechanical testing to assess product performance under varied conditions.
- Apply working knowledge of electrical circuits and power conversion to help define and implement electrical and thermal test setups in collaboration with electrical and mechanical engineers.
- Independently set up mechanical, electrical, and thermal components required for testing in the thermal laboratory.
- Design, modify, and build fixtures or test devices to support specialized thermal test configurations.

- Document and communicate test findings through clear, well‑organized reports using Excel and PowerPoint.
- Work collaboratively with cross‑functional engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve product issues.
- Operate with minimal supervision while demonstrating initiative, adaptability, creativity, and strong problem‑solving skills in a dynamic environment.
- Associate Degree in Electronics, Electromechanical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent hands‑on experience).
- 5–7+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong working knowledge of AC/DC circuits and electrical power principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Hands‑on experience with electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, power analyzers, electronic loads, and data acquisition systems.
- Ability to track, maintain, and ensure calibration of thermal lab equipment.
- Experience setting up liquid cooling systems, including chillers, pressure gauges, and cold plates.
- Solid understanding of heat transfer fundamentals and thermal resistance concepts.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and test specifications.
- Strong soldering skills, including thermocouple preparation.
- Basic machining abilities, including use of drill presses and milling machines to prepare copper or aluminum test fixtures.
- Experience using FLIR thermal imaging cameras and related analysis software.
