An excellent opportunity exists within the Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Estimating organization. In this estimating organization, the employee will be responsible for the preparation of various types of proposals for development, production and competitive contracts including modifications to existing contracts. In addition, the estimating organization supports gate reviews, government audits and negotiations with the customer.

• Support the development and understanding of proposals
• Work with functions from across the company to develop the labor, material and other direct costs associated with proposed contracts
• Utilize company estimating and pricing programs and tools
• Develop detailed bidding guidelines which are used to kick off proposals
• Provide estimating support for the development of Basis of Estimates to include validating and analyzing actuals, ensuring consistency within task descriptions, and confirming estimating approach is sound
• Prepare and present limited complexity Submit Gate charts for program/company leadership review of proposal information
• Ensure proposals comply with basic FAR and internal requirements
• Assess and formulate potential solutions leading to a thorough proposal submittal
• Ability and willingness to gain special access clearance to work activities as appropriate.

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, ex. Microsoft Excel (i.e., basic formulas, lookup functions, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, etc.)
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

• Strong organization skills
• Demonstrated ability to consistently meeting deadlines in a schedule driven environment
• Effective planning and scheduling skills that lead to the completion of proposal efforts in accordance with customer and company requirements
• The ability to work well in teams, with peers and management
• Oral and written communication skills
• The ability to follow and apply internal and external regulations to the development of company proposals
• Basic working knowledge of the RTN pricing tool, Pro Pricer, is desired but not required
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to interact with senior levels of management and customer organizations
• Active Secret Clearance is a plus, but not required
