Job Description # Systems Engineer II
* Design and deploy
** complex factory test systems
** in collaboration with cross‑functional internal and external partners
* Lead the development of
** test hardware, software, and firmware
** across power, RF, analog, digital, and embedded domains
* Define test system requirements and guide designs through development, integration, verification, and deployment
* Work with engineering, production, and operations teams to ensure test capability and capacity align with manufacturing needs
* Identify and resolve
** test readiness issues
** and drive system‑level optimizations during development
* Lead
** medium‑to‑large engineering teams
** to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals
* Provide
** technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance
** to junior engineers
* Present project status, technical results, risk posture, and earned value metrics to program and functional leadership
* Support manufacturing and operations through
** test system troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution
*** Contribute to
** bid and proposal development**, including cost, schedule, and technical solution inputs
* Bachelor’s degree in
** Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
*** Experience designing and integrating
** test systems**, including automated test equipment (ATE) and custom hardware/software architectures
* Experience with
** software development
** using C++, C#, Python, Java, Visual Basic, or similar
* Experience using
** IDEs and debugging tools
** to troubleshoot software and ensure quality
* Experience working with
** laboratory test instrumentation**, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, RF tools, etc.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a
** Secret security clearance**- Minimum
** 8+ years
** of relevant engineering experience  
* OR
** 5+ years
** with an advanced degree
* Experience leading
** multi‑discipline engineering teams
*** Strong understanding of
** power, RF, digital, analog, and ATE system architectures
*** Hands‑on experience with test automation, embedded systems, firmware, or electro‑mechanical test solutions
* Knowledge of
** systems engineering**, requirements development, and structured design processes
* Understanding of
** earned value management**, schedule management, and risk/opportunity tracking
* Strong communication, presentation, and technical-writing skills
* Experience supporting
** manufacturing**, including deployment and debugging of production test systems
* Experience contributing to proposals, including cost estimation and technical inputs
