Position: Sr. Electrical & Electronics (E&E) Engineer - Sensor Test Development

Position Overview

The Raytheon Sensor Test Solutions (STS) Department is seeking a Senior Electrical & Electronics Engineer – Sensor Test Development to design, build, and integrate advanced test platforms and architectures. This 100% onsite role in Tewksbury, MA, requires a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance.

What You Will Do
  • Develop test hardware, software, and firmware from requirements definition through deployment at manufacturing or customer facilities, covering Power, RF, Analog, and Digital disciplines.
  • Lead smaller engineering teams, oversee technical execution, and report project status (cost, schedule) to STS leadership.
  • Identify test readiness issues and drive optimizations throughout the development life‑cycle.
  • Ensure project budget, schedule, and performance commitments are met.
  • Guide mechanical engineering and/or suppliers through test adapter design activities.
  • Work autonomously or as a team contributor, managing tasks with limited supervision.
  • Prepare and present work products at project status meetings.
  • Support manufacturing operations with on‑site troubleshooting and debugging.
Qualifications
  • Must Have
    • Bachelor’s degree in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
    • Experience in electrical engineering design, software automation, hardware, and mechanical disciplines.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
    • U.S. citizenship.
  • Prefer
    • Experience leading technical tasks with small to mid‑sized project teams.
    • Experience with engineering support functions (technical documentation, configuration management, procurement).
    • Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira/Confluence, and EVMS.
    • Experience with National Instruments Test Stand, Lab Windows/CVI, and/or LabVIEW.
    • Experience with Digital, Analog, RF, and/or Power Supply test hardware and software design.
    • Experience with routine use or automation of commercial test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers, power supplies).
Benefits & Compensation
  • Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
