Senior Test Development Engineer
Tewksbury, MA – Contract – 9/80 Schedule – $68.83/hr
As a member of the Sensor Test Solutions department, you will be part of a team responsible for the design, integration and deployment of test equipment. Our test equipment is deployed to our factory in Andover, MA and to depot facilities both domestically and internationally. Team members come from diverse electrical engineering backgrounds—including RF, Power, Digital, and Analog—and all engineers contribute to both hardware and software development.
The scope of the position will vary with the timing of the assignment, your skill set, and project duration. It generally involves a combination of the design activities described below.
Key Deliverables for This Role- Test station & fixture designs (Electrical schematic capture & PCB design)
Your success means quickly ramping up and having an impact on projects that develop test stations/fixtures and automated test software. You should be comfortable in a process‑heavy environment and collaborate effectively within team‑based projects (5–10 engineers). Strong communication, teamwork, and technical aptitude are essential for achieving success within the department.
Required and Desired Qualifications- Core Technical Skills (Non‑negotiables)
- Electrical Test Instrument/Equipment experience
- Power, RF, Digital Logic, Analog circuit knowledge
- Automated Test Software development experience
- Our client requires that candidates must have an active/current DoD Secret Personnel Clearance (PCL) to start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Experience with project leadership, project cost and schedule management (e.g., EVMS, MS Project)
- DoW (DoD) project development life‑cycle processes
- Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities (3–5 bullets max)
- Execute assigned technical tasks in a team setting
- Support any scheduled project meetings
- Report progress periodically (daily, weekly, etc.) as required by the project lead
- Tools/Technologies Required
- Automated test software (C/C++/C#, LabVIEW, Test Stand)
- ORCAD and/or Cadence Allegro for PCB design; experience in Power, RF, Digital Logic
- STEM bachelor's degree and 2 years experience
