Position
Systems Security Engineer II (P2) – Onsite, United States – Massachusetts. We are seeking a well‑qualified Systems Security Engineer II (P2) to join our elite Systems Security Engineering (SSE) team within the Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities discipline. The role involves developing solutions that protect the Warfighter’s technology advantage.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development of cybersecurity requirements, design and architecture artifacts, plans, and policies.
- Support security development and test efforts for the implementation of security controls of networking devices, databases, operating systems, hardware, and software components.
- Implement proper cybersecurity controls and integrate cybersecurity development activities across the system life cycle.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (Secret or higher).
- Experience in systems engineering or cybersecurity engineering.
- Proficiency with information security toolsets, including anti‑virus, vulnerability assessment, HIDS/NIDS, host‑based or endpoint security solutions, multi‑factor authentication, SIEM, and centralized auditing tools; familiarity with Splunk preferred.
- Experience with Linux Bash or Python scripting.
- Knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DoDI 8570.01‑M IAT Level‑II compliant certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP, or equivalent).
- Experience in security systems engineering involving computer hardware, software, operating systems, and applications in both stand‑alone and LAN/WAN configurations.
- Experience with IT and/or network and system security administration, including operating system security configuration and account management best practices for UNIX, MS Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and CISCO systems.
- Experience with supply chain risk management.
- Knowledge of embedded weapons systems security requirements.

USD 68,900 – 131,100 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Security ClearanceThis position requires an active U.S. government‑issued Secret clearance (or higher). U.S. citizenship is required.
