Job Overview
Senior Program Quality Engineer (PQE) – Advanced (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Business Unit, Raytheon. Onsite role located in Massachusetts (Tewksbury or Woburn). U.S. citizen and active Secret security clearance required.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a key member of the program execution team, ensuring successful program performance by confirming conformance of products and services through effective collaboration and compliance with processes and procedures.
- Assess technical risk of non‑conformances using critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Review change requests to assess technical impact.
- Support and provide oversight for failure investigations and non‑conformance reviews.
- Plan and coordinate technical assessments, corrective actions, and root‑cause analysis.
- Work with cross‑functional partners and customers to ensure alignment and meet customer requirements.
- Drive compliance with the Raytheon Quality Management System and facilitate continuous improvement.
- Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) in accordance with AS9145, where applicable.
- Maintain advanced quality documentation and closed‑loop process controls to improve product/process predictability and capability.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field.
- Minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and/or Operations.
- Experience working with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems.
- Proven ability to provide quality technical expertise throughout design, development, and manufacturing.
- Experience with programs/efforts that include remote site or site quality.
- Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship required (only U.S. citizens may obtain the clearance).
- Experience applying aerospace, commercial, defense, or space quality standards and internal policies.
- Familiarity with U.S. Government contractual requirements.
- Ability to drive performance of major subcontractors, suppliers, and IOTs.
- Experience across the defense systems product life cycle (design, production, installation, integration, test, sustainment).
- Experience identifying, evaluating, and documenting problems with requirements, program functionality, and/or software releases.
- Experience defining and evaluating quality metrics.
- Cross‑functional collaboration experience.
- Experience assessing engineering work products (peer reviews, configuration control boards, code reviews, product readiness, etc.) to eliminate in‑phase defects.
- Participation in test preparation and execution to verify requirements.
- Risk mitigation and opportunity management experience.
- Proficiency with data quality tools and facilitation of cross‑functional root‑cause and corrective action activities.
- RTX CORE and Earned Value certification and proficiency (preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and stakeholder networking.
- Salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD (good faith estimate; actual offer depends on experience, location, and role level).
