Job Summary

The Systems Engineering Integrated Systems department is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Modeling & Simulation) in Tewksbury, MA. This full‑time onsite position supports Raytheon Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) mission area.

Active and transferable DoD Secret clearance required prior to start. U.S. citizenship is required.

• Contribute and collaborate in a team environment receiving input from program or team experts and contributing your knowledge to advance discussions.
• Communicate with cross‑functional engineering teams to coordinate design plans and requirements analysis.
• Apply performance engineering practices and procedures to evaluate work across a wide range of subject areas.
• Manage program technical risks by evaluating requirements and design aspects.
• Develop models to validate proposed architectures and designs against requirements; help shape future technology growth.
• Develop and maintain modeling tools incorporating Digital Signal Processing (DSP) with complex time‑domain elements.
• Analyze data to understand performance and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Incorporate radar system concepts—detection, discrimination, track and signal‑processing algorithms—to model behaviors and analyze performance.
• Incorporate effector system concepts to model behaviors and analyze performance.

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with system modeling, algorithm development, test vectors, or analysis tools.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and/or Fortran.

• Experience with complex DSP, time‑domain signal modeling, and system requirements development.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Background in radar concepts—including detection, discrimination, tracking, and signal‑processing algorithms.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, data analysis, statistics, and interpreting technical drawings/schematics.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical efforts, conduct studies, and present credible analytical results to stakeholders.

• Salary range: 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD.
