Role OverviewRaytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Systems Engineer II to join our team within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline, supporting LTAMDS. This role can be based out of Andover, MA or Tewksbury, MA.
What You Will Do- Core Systems Engineering:
Develop requirements and algorithms, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces. - Lead Testing Efforts:
Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments. - Troubleshoot and Analyze:
Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging. - Drive Performance:
Collaborate across functions to drive performance improvements and resolve system issues. - Modeling and Simulation:
Develop and execute models to predict system performance and support verification and validation. - Integrate Systems:
Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact. - Collaborate and Lead:
Work with and lead a multi-disciplinary team to achieve seamless integration and system functionality. - Document and Communicate:
Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements, and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders. - Perform Data Analysis:
Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data to ensure optimal system performance and verify requirements. - Present Findings:
Present technical findings and solutions to leadership and customers. - Support Missions:
Travel as needed (up to 20%) to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with systems software, systems hardware, systems requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test.
- Experience developing both scripts and functions with MATLAB.
- Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools.
- Experience with model-based engineering.
- Experience in developing and managing requirements.
- Experience with generating technical documentation, such as test plans, procedures, or technical reports.
- Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or in the field, supporting integration and/or verification.
- Experience with evaluating systems using simulated environments.
- Experience interfacing with internal and external customers.
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
