OverviewAt Raytheon, we combine more than 100 years of engineering expertise to defend freedoms. This Senior Antenna and Microwave Engineer role focuses on RF/Microwave system theory and design, including architectures, subsystems, components, and Active Electronically Steered Antennas (AESAs). The candidate will employ knowledge of circuit card assemblies and electromagnetic theory.
Responsibilities- Design RF microwave components and phased array applications.
- Integrate and test component‑level and system‑level phased array hardware.
- Provide technical support to production activities.
- Lead design teams, manage cost and schedule, write proposals, and present to stakeholders.
- Occasional travel to integration sites, customer and subcontractor facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and at least five years of relevant experience in microwave/RF system, subsystem, or component analysis, design, and test.
- Hands‑on experience with electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, CST, Mentor Graphics Xpedition, and analytical tools like Matlab.
- Background designing and testing analog CCAs (frequency conversion, automatic gain control, amplifier design, analog filter design).
- Understanding of requirement allocation from system to component level.
- Knowledge of cost estimation, budget, and schedule management.
- Strong academic background in Microwave Engineering, Microwave Systems, Electromagnetic Theory, and Radar Systems.
- Experience with microwave testing techniques using spectrum analyzers, RSAs, VNAs, and PNAs.
Salary range: 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD. Relocation assistance available for eligible candidates.
