Location: North Tewksbury

Position:
Patriot Program Quality Engineering (PQE) Manager – Tewksbury, MA (Onsite). This role will support U.S. and foreign programs within the Patriot portfolio at our Tewksbury and Andover locations.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Program Quality Engineering Lead, supporting Program Manager execution of key tasks across CPT, IPT, and functional teams.
  • Drive quality tasks and participate in design reviews, CCB sign‑offs, qualification planning, flight‑test walk‑ups, independent reviews, and trade studies for Patriot Programs.
  • Manage a team of Patriot Quality Engineers – staff, performance reviews, and development planning.
  • Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) aligned with AS9145 and New Product Introduction (NPI) protocols to establish product maturity.
  • Review engineering work products (technical analysis, data packages) to identify and eliminate defects.
  • Participate in technical peer reviews of initial design releases, change incorporation, prototype development, and test plans.
  • Evaluate technical requirements and manufacturing trade‑offs to assess risks or opportunities and collaborate with Engineering on mitigation plans.
  • Lead root‑cause initiatives and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support new pursuits through proposal development.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Work experience in an engineering discipline and experience developing and managing teams.
  • Hardware design, reliability, and manufacturability assessment experience.
  • Experience leading root‑cause analysis and implementing corrective/preventive actions.
  • Past work implementing quality strategies and analyzing metrics to achieve measurable results.
  • Current secret government clearance with design engineering experience and insight into common design challenges.
  • Experience with quality frameworks such as APQP, AS9145, ISO 9001, or AS9100 and tools like PPAP, Key Characteristics, DFMEA, DFMAs, or Critical Items.
  • Familiarity with Risk & Opportunity Analysis and Management Boards (ROMB).
  • Experience supporting audit and hardware sell‑off activities.
  • Relevant certifications (Six Sigma, CORE, Shainin Red X, GD&T, ASQ) or equivalent training (BOE, EV).
  • Stakeholder‑management skills with effective communication for engaging senior leadership.
Security Clearance

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Security clearance type:
DoD Secret. Status:
Active and existing security clearance required after day one.
