Test Development Engineer
We are seeking a Test Development Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the design, integration, and deployment of advanced test equipment used in a high-technology manufacturing environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex electrical and automated test systems supporting cutting-edge products.
As part of a collaborative team of engineers specializing in RF, power, digital, and analog technologies, you will contribute to the development of test stations, fixtures, PCB designs, and automated test software. Success in this role requires strong technical aptitude, effective communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a structured, process-driven environment.
Responsibilities- Design and develop electrical test stations and test fixtures
- Create electrical schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard design tools
- Develop and maintain automated test software for validation and production testing
- Support integration, troubleshooting, and deployment of test equipment
- Participate in technical design reviews and project meetings
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to meet project objectives
- Provide regular status updates and technical progress reports
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or another STEM-related field
- 2+ years of professional engineering experience
- Experience working with electrical test equipment and instrumentation
- Strong/some knowledge of:
- RF systems
- Power electronics
- Digital logic
- Analog circuitry
- Experience with automated test software development
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB design
Experience with one or more of the following:
- LabVIEW
- Test Stand
- C, C++, or C#
- ORCAD Capture
- Cadence Allegro PCB Designer
- Hardware test and validation
- Test fixture development
- PCB design and layout
- Experience leading engineering projects or technical teams
- Familiarity with project scheduling and cost management
- Experience with EVMS or Microsoft Project
- Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) development lifecycle processes
- Experience working in aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Comfortable working in a process-driven engineering organization
- Self-starter capable of quickly learning new technologies and systems

This is a Contract position based out of Tewksbury, MA.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $80.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
