Raytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Radar Systems Engineer I to join our Surface Radars and Radars team within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline, supporting a range of sensor and effector programs. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of the product, from concept development to deployment.
- You will develop concepts of operations for radar systems.
- You will be responsible for radar processing algorithm development.
- You will be responsible for radar software requirements development.
- You will be responsible for statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data.
- You will be responsible for analysis tool development in support of problem identification and resolution.
- You will be responsible for collaboration with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions.
- You will present findings and solutions to Leadership and/or Customers.
This is an onsite position based in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. The role may require up to 20% travel to RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations to support test events and mission execution.
Qualifications- Must have a Bachelor's degree in or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
- Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
- An active and in‑scope Secret US security clearance.
- Experience with design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architectures.
- Experience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments.
- Design experience in the following radar system areas: antenna, receiver/exciter, waveforms, digital beamforming, multi‑sensor track management and data fusion, adaptive signal processing, clutter mitigation techniques, electronic attack and electronic protect, sensor resource management and mission planning.
- Requirements development experience, including use of DOORS.
- Experience with MATLAB/Python/C++.
- Experience with technical writing and oral presentations.

-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
