Principal Specialist - Estimating and Pricing

U.S. citizenship is required. Security clearance is not required for this position.

• Support the development and understanding of proposals.
• Work with functions from across the company to develop the labor, material, and other direct costs associated with proposed contracts.
• Utilize company estimating and pricing programs and tools.
• Develop detailed bidding guidelines used to kick off proposals.
• Provide estimating support for the development of Basis of Estimates, including validating and analyzing actuals, ensuring consistency within task descriptions, and confirming estimating approach is sound.
• Prepare and present limited‑complexity proposals.
• Submit gate charts for program and company leadership review of proposal information.
• Ensure proposals comply with basic FAR and internal requirements.
• Assess and formulate potential solutions leading to a thorough proposal submittal.
• Demonstrate ability and willingness to acquire special access clearance to work activities as appropriate.

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of three years of experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, lookup functions, pivot tables, filtering/sorting).
• U.S. citizenship.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with senior management and customer organizations.
• Good investigative and analytical abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and proven track record of meeting deadlines in a schedule‑driven environment.
• Effective planning and scheduling skills that lead to the completion of proposal efforts in accordance with customer and company requirements.
• Team‑player attitude, working well with peers and management.
• Knowledge of internal and external regulation application to company proposals.
• Working knowledge of RTN pricing tool Pro Pricer (desired).
• Active Secret clearance (a plus).

• Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
