Licensed Psychologist (Part-Time) Tewksbury Hospital – Department of Public Health (DPH) Overview- Tewksbury Hospital’s Department of Public Health is seeking a licensed Psychologist to provide direct clinical psychology services to adults (18+) in an inpatient medical setting. This role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient care within a supportive, mission‑driven public. The Psychologist will report to the DPH Director of Psychology and receive general administrative oversight from the Chief Medical Officer.
- Provide direct clinical psychology services, including individual and group psychotherapy, psychodiagnostic assessments, and crisis intervention for adult inpatient populations.
- Facilitate therapeutic and psycho‑educational groups such as substance use recovery, process‑oriented support, and DBT‑informed skills groups.
- Develop behavioral management interventions, offer staff training and guidance, and consult with multidisciplinary teams across DPH units to enhance patient care.
- Supervise and provide didactic training to doctoral‑level psychology interns in the APA‑accredited internship program.
- Maintain comprehensive clinical documentation, including evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, behavioral plans, and assessment reports; participate in meetings and complete required programmatic reports.
- Collaborate with treatment teams, families, guardians, and health care proxies; participate in the Rapid Response Team; and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Current licensure as a psychologist in Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Experience working with adult inpatient populations preferred.
- Strong clinical intervention, assessment, and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to patient‑centered, trauma‑informed care.
Up to 30 hours/week with a competitive hourly rate.
