Position Overview
Raytheon is looking for a Sr. Manager, Material Program Manager (MPM) to join the Operations & Supply Chain group for the Advanced Technologies Strategic Business Unit – Advanced Integrated Surface Sensors directorate in Tewksbury, MA. The role requires advanced knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP), project management and proposal activities within a matrixed organization. This is a hybrid role that requires up to 30% travel to supplier and customer sites, with a requirement of two days onsite per week in the Tewksbury or Andover locations.
Responsibilities- Manage execution of processes, standards, and operational plans in support of procurement strategies, including RFPs, risk and opportunity assessments, EAC, IMS management, negotiation strategy, cost accountability and program execution.
- Support, review and assess request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
- Implement key performance indicators internally and with the supply base to ensure timely delivery to customers and adherence to plans.
- Work closely with Operations, Planning and Finance functions to optimize planning and supply‑chain cycles to meet development requirements.
- Support and engage with Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) to resolve supply‑chain issues and serve as a supply‑chain SME for other functional areas.
- Lead projects to enhance supply‑chain performance and continuous improvement.
- Support supply‑chain lead for internal and external audits regarding material and cost validations.
- Set objectives and guide others on execution/approach for achievement of developmental results.
- Explain policies, practices, and procedures and influence others.
- Address complex problems requiring consideration of multiple variables and risk‑based decisions.
- Lead multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience.
- Industry experience in Aerospace and Defense.
- Experience with supply‑chain, vendor management, risk assessment/mitigation and/or performance management.
- Enterprise resource planning (ERP) experience, e.g., SAP.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
- Prior experience as a Materials Program Manager and proposal experience applying FAR standards.
- Experience working in a matrix organization and multi‑site leadership.
- Degree in Business, Supply‑Chain, Engineering or related subject.
- Project management experience.
- Existing Secret clearance.
Salary range: 132,400
USD–251,600
USD.
