The Functional Support Director role offers a unique opportunity to help drive Raytheon’s transformation in response to the supply-constrained defense market. Raytheon’s customers need increased volumes of munitions and other defense products creating a need for scale across Raytheon’s supply base. Sitting at the intersection of Raytheon’s supply base and the financial resources that enable scale, the Director of Supply Chain Functional Support will influence Raytheon’s input material planning, procurement, strategic negotiations, and supply base investment.

The Supply Chain Functional Support Director is responsible for strategically enabling Raytheon’s core Procurement and Planning functions to enable of business growth, supply chain resiliency, and material cost performance. This high visibility role is responsible for supporting multiple executive-level functional stakeholders. This role also will partner closely with SBU and commodity procurement teams, the S&OP team, and multiple Finance functions across OSCQ, FP&A, CGO, and SBU Finance.

Success in this role requires strong executive communication skills, a proactive leadership style, top-notch analytical ability, the ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders, top notch financial acumen, and a mission-focused mindset. Successful candidates will also be experienced and comfortable building teams.

What You Will Do
  • Provide negotiation support to procurement teams including support to strategic long-term agreements
  • Conduct PV tracking to support business financial objectives
  • Provide budgetary support to core Supply Chain procurement and S&OP planning functions (direct, indirect CER pools)
  • Manage strategic Supply Chain AR/CFRs and other tools to accelerate material
  • Lead strategic agreement support with financial business case analysis
  • Lead Financial analysis and support for Supply Chain competitions and best value source selection
  • Conduct constraint analyses to support investment initiatives and improve material availability in Raytheon’s factories
  • Act as a catalyst for data‑driven decision making
  • Capable of standing up a team and designing cross-functional, results-oriented business processes
  • Able to lead others in turning complex data into clear insights that drive action
  • Able to proactively drive financial performance including identifying key success enablers for Operations and other down-stream functions
  • Comfortable supporting multiple work streams in a fast‑paced environment with evolving priorities
  • Must be able to influence without authority and build consensus among executive-level stakeholders
