OverviewNaval Systems and Sustainment (NSS) seeks an experienced and highly motivated Program Manager to lead the Aegis Technology Insertion scope.
The Aegis Program Manager is responsible for identifying and implementing Technology Insertions (TIs) for the MK‑99 and Aegis SPY‑1 equipment for the various Aegis. The individual selected is responsible for quality, schedule, performance, cost, and leads the integrated product teams (IPTs) to coordinate functional support. This leader is also responsible for growing the business both domestically and internationally.
- This is an onsite position at our Marlborough or Tewksbury, MA facility
- Relocation assistance is currently NOT available
- Develop customer relationships with multiple Navy organizations and partners
- Manage transition to production and startup of new designs
- Manage quick‑turn, emerging Navy Fleet support requirements
- Provide leadership to multi‑functional teams and key partners to ensure successful execution of the Technology Insertion contracts
- Meet company financials and programmatic objectives including EAC and AOP
- Ensure success by oversight of the Risk Management process and other IPDS tools
- Prepare and present at weekly, biweekly, monthly and quarterly reviews with NSS and Naval Power Leadership as well as the Navy Customer
- Contract proposal development and negotiations
- Manage internal subcontracts
- Travel as needed, up to approximately 25%
- Raytheon and RTX Business Acumen
- SBU & SSBU organizational structure, responsibilities amongst the programs and the functional areas, and deliverables
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years’ experience
- Prior program/project management experience
- Prior experience with cost and schedule management
- Level 5 PM certification or possess industry related PM certifications (or similar certification)
- Prior experience working cross‑functional (ex: engineering, operations, supply chain, etc.)
- Prior experience working with DoD customers (Naval)
- Master’s degree in engineering, science or mathematics
- Experience in the contracting process including proposal preparation & negotiations, leadership briefings, and risk/opportunity management
- Experience with transition to production of new design, first‑time build, and tech insertions
- Experience managing multiple contracts
