Travel RN - Psychiatric

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Psychiatric RN for an addiction recovery role at a Transitional Support Services facility in Tewksbury, MA, working weekend day shifts with a local-only radius requirement.

Job Details

• Transitional Support Services (TSS) facility in Tewksbury, MA - a behavioral health setting bridging the gap between detox and community living,

• Addiction recovery psychiatric patient population, including patients with co-occurring mental health disorders and post-acute withdrawal,

• 6-hour day shifts, scheduled Saturdays and Sundays weekly (12 hrs/week),

• 20-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active MA RN license currently in hand,

• Current BLS certification required,

• Psychiatric nursing experience required, with a focus on addiction recovery preferred,

• Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility to be eligible for this position,

Additional Information

• Monitor patients for post-acute withdrawal symptoms, co-occurring mental health disorders, and overall health stability,

• Oversee self-administered medications and provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including buprenorphine and naltrexone,

• Conduct overdose prevention training,

• Lead psycho-educational groups and teach relapse prevention strategies covering addiction, recovery, and healthy life skills,

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams - including counselors and physicians - to develop individualized treatment plans, assist with aftercare planning, and facilitate referrals to outpatient services,

• Conduct drug testing and maintain a safe, structured program environment,

• In-person interview required for consideration,

• All previous employees of any Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) affiliated facility (travel, permanent, or per diem) must have a minimum 6-month break before being considered,

• COVID vaccine with booster and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted),

• Flu vaccine documentation required during flu season
