Addiction recovery psych RNs at TSS monitor physical/mental health, manage medications (including MAT), conduct psycho-educational groups, and assist with case management, relapse prevention, and daily living skills.
Clinical monitoring & care: RNs monitor patients for post-acute withdrawal symptoms, manage co-occurring mental health disorders, and assess overall health stability.
Medication management:
This includes overseeing self-administered medications, providing medication-assisted treatment (MAT) (e.g., buprenorphine, naltrexone), and conducting overdose prevention training.
Supportive education & counseling: RNs lead psycho-educational groups, teach relapse prevention strategies, and educate on addiction, recovery, and healthy life skills.
Case management & coordination:
They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (counselors, physicians) to develop individualized treatment plans, assist with aftercare planning, and facilitate referrals to outpatient services.
Structure & safety:
They ensure a safe, structured environment, often conducting drug testing and ensuring compliance with program.
Must be separated from any BILH affiliated facilities for 6 months prior to being considered. In person interview required.
