Addiction Registered Nurse

Contract guarantee hours= 72 hours biweekly on all assignments – these guaranteed hours do not include any "on-call" time worked. Comments and notes: 20 weeks BILH coversheet required at time of submission. Locals only. Addiction RN needed for Tewksbury TSS. Role will have similar expectations as a school nurse. Will not be passing medications. Will be considered part of the leadership team since they are partnering as a program.

6 hour days, 8am-2pm Monday-Friday. Weekends as needed. Detox program provides 24 hour nursing care to monitor an individual's withdrawal from alcohol and/or other drugs and alleviate symptoms. Clients are provided with the medical and emotional support that they need during one of the most pivotal stages in the recovery process. Responsibilities are: records and reports all observed symptoms, reactions to treatments and changes in patients safety status;

administers medications to patients; collaborates with team in providing health information and maintains clients' medical records; responds to patient care needs/issues and assists patients with activities of daily living, promoting a positive therapeutic environment; assists with the admitting, discharge and transfer process; participates in treatment team meetings & assists with development of care plans.

Qualifications:

valid and current Massachusetts licensure as a registered nurse (RN); current certification in CPR; experience with addiction treatment services preferred, but not required. Local and travel will be considered for this opening. Must be separated from BILH system for 6 months before returning - perm, per diem or travel.
