Software Engineer, Senior Developer
What You Will Do
Participate in collaborative, cross‑discipline integrated product teams, employ agile software development techniques and resources to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications.
Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real‑time embedded software, application software, and tools, including new work products or enhancements of existing applications and systems.
Work collaboratively with Systems and Integration Test Engineers to analyze, implement and test systems.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related (STEM) discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) or more years of relevant experience in software development, integration, and/or test using C++, Java, C# or a similar object‑oriented software language.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
- Experience leading development teams.
- Experience contributing to a team environment for developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems.
- Experience working in an Agile environment such as Scrum, Scrum@Scale, SAFe, Test‑Driven Development, Dev Sec Ops .
- Strong problem‑solving, teamwork and communication skills.
- Desire and ability to learn new technologies and tools.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with time‑critical requirements.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), configuration management tools (e.g., Azure, Jira, Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory), and data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python).
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, memory management and multithreaded applications.
- Knowledge of Red Hat and/or Linux Operating Systems and Windows development.
- Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles.
The salary range for this role is 86,800
USD – 165,200
USD, reflecting experience, role and location. Eligible employees may receive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability and 401(k) matching, among other benefits. Additional compensation may include short‑ and long‑term incentive programs subject to performance.
