Position Overview

Principal Software Systems Quality Engineer (Compliance), onsite in Tewksbury, MA. The role supports Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) including Global Patriot, Ghost‑Eye, and other missile defense programs. The position requires ongoing onsite presence Monday through Friday, primarily at the Tewksbury site, with occasional test witnessing at nearby Andover, Pelham, and Marlborough locations.

Responsibilities
  • Review of Document Deliverables (CDRL), Command Media (Policies), and SW Release Packages (Windchill PDM, Azure Dev Ops)
  • Examine SW Requirements Changes, SW/System Defects, SW Pulls (Code Reviews), Media, and Test Artifacts
  • Participate in Peer Reviews (SW, SE), Control Boards (CCB, SRB), Tracking Books (Metrics), and Audits
  • Conduct Test Witnessing during System Qualification Test (SQT) and Full Qualification Test (FQT)
  • Maintain compliance with contractual requirements and ensure integrity of technical data packages
  • Perform independent risk assessments and root cause analysis, facilitating corrective actions
  • Leverage Agile and Dev Sec Ops  methodologies in software development and quality best practices
  • Interact with customers, product development, and test personnel; provide guidance to senior leadership and peers

Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship required to obtain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
  • Eight (8) years of quality or engineering experience applying Agile, testing, requirements, software, defects, release, metrics, and analysis principles
  • Experience with Agile practices (SCRUM, sprints, backlog, CI/CD) and execution witnessing, test plans, procedures, and traceability
  • Knowledge of requirements verification, software specifications, system specifications, and performance contracts
  • Familiarity with software lifecycle processes, code reviews, builds, and configuration management
  • Proficiency in defect classification (quantification, severity, priority, impact)
  • Experience with release management, documentation, security bulletins, and user guides
  • Ability to analyze metrics, develop dashboards, and report results
Preferred Experience
  • Professional certifications in Quality, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Agile, Cyber/IA, or Project Management
  • Presentation experience using PowerPoint to senior management
  • Knowledge of quality standards (AS9115, AS9100, ISO
    9001) and QMS/SOPs
  • Experience with compliance evaluation, validation, auditing, and corrective actions
  • Background in maintenance processes, patches, upgrades, backups, and recovery
  • Project leadership, coordination, planning, prioritization, and escalation skills
  • Familiarity with Dev Sec Ops  tool chains (Confluence, ADS, Jenkins, Git Hub, Coverity) and integrated development environments
  • Experience with development tools (Clear Case, DOORS, RQM, Cameo, Rhapsody) and databases (Oracle, SAP)
  • Knowledge of networking, protocols (OSI, TCP, IP, TLS, DHCP, SNMP), and cloud infrastructures
  • Experience with security, systems, software, hardware, and tool integration
