NASAMS is a state-of-the-art air defense system that protects critical assets and population centers from aerial threats by integrating advanced radar, command and control, and missile systems. As a member of this team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, testing, and delivering software that supports the full NASAMS system effectiveness chain, including Detect, Decide, Engage, and Destroy functionalities.

  • Collaborate with team members to design, develop, test, and deliver real-time application software and tools that enable the NASAMS system effectiveness chain, including Detect, Decide, Engage, and Destroy functionalities.
  • Assist in the requirements, design, development, and testing of software systems that support critical functions such as target acquisition, threat evaluation, missile firing, and terminal guidance.
  • Develop, maintain, and deploy large-scale, complex software solutions for NASAMS in an agile environment, adhering to Dev Sec Ops  principles to ensure secure, high-quality, and high-frequency software deliveries.
  • Participate in internal reviews of NASAMS software components and systems to ensure they meet the highest quality standards and align with program requirements.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of testing frameworks and best practices to enable efficient software validation and delivery using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) concepts.
  • Analyze and solve problems within defined scope, schedule, and expectations while adhering to established development practices and processes.
  • Work closely with systems engineers and other team members to ensure the seamless integration of software with NASAMS hardware and other systems.
  • Your contributions will directly enhance the NASAMS system's ability to provide advanced air defense capabilities, protecting critical assets and infrastructure worldwide.

What You Will Learn

  • The inner workings of the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS) and its integration with advanced Missile Defense Systems and/or Command and Control (C2) Systems.
  • How to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions for complex, real-time systems that enable critical NASAMS functionalities, including target acquisition, threat evaluation, missile firing, and terminal guidance.
  • Best practices and frameworks for testing and validating robust and reliable software deployments that meet the high standards required for mission-critical systems.
  • How to effectively collaborate in an Agile and Dev Sec Ops  environment, delivering secure, high-frequency software updates that keep pace with evolving customer needs and threats.
  • By joining the NASAMS program, you will build the skills and knowledge to contribute to one of the world's most advanced air defense systems, while working alongside a team of dedicated and highly skilled engineers.
