Raytheon is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Dual Band Radar Software Team located in Tewksbury, MA. We develop software in C++ utilizing agile software development methods.

Develop robust and scalable software in C++ running Linux or UNIX operating systems using Agile development methods. Design, implement, debug, and problem solve Radar Software Applications while providing feedback to other team members. Work in a team environment to understand end-user requirements and translate these into a pragmatic and effective technical solution. Dive into difficult problems and successfully deliver results on schedule.

You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. Experience with C++ application code development and Linux/Unix. Broad real-time, multi-threaded software development experience. The ability to obtain and maintain a U. S. Government issued Interim Secret security clearance prior to the start date.

U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

We Prefer Active Secret security clearance. Radar software development experience. Strong Object-Oriented Design knowledge. Knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional, integration, regression, performance, etc.) and best practices. Experience with DOORS (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System) or other requirements traceability tool. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively diagnose and address issues.
