Summary of Job Duties
Applicants should have three to five years of experience in the welding industry and demonstrate proficiency in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG). Experience with oxy-fuel cutting, plasma cutting, blueprint reading, fabrication, and welding safety practices is preferred.
Applicants should demonstrate the ability to teach both classroom and hands‑on laboratory instruction while maintaining a safe and productive learning environment. It is also important for this individual to have a willingness to work with local industries and instructors in other technical areas to further the technical offerings at University of Arkansas Community College at Hope‑Texarkana.
QualificationsExperience in Welding Technology, Industrial Technology, General Technology, or a related field is required. Comparable formal education or training, including military training, may also be considered. Industry certifications such as American Welding Society (AWS) certifications are a plus.
