Job DescriptionThe Texarkana Arkansas School District is seeking applicants for bus aides available immediately. Bus aides ensure safe and orderly transportation of students on an assigned route that transports students and authorized personnel to and from schools or other designated location(s). Bus aide positions are part‑time (approximately 4 hours per day during the school year only).
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Pass a national criminal background check;
- Pass a background check of the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry;
- Possess a valid driver's license;
- Be at least 21 years of age;
- Pass an alcohol and drug test and DPS physical;
- Have an acceptable driving record;
- Complete required bus driver safety training;
- Follow written and verbal instructions;
- Communicate effectively;
- Know student discipline procedures;
- Manage student behavior.
Position Type: Part‑Time
Salary: $12.23 to $14.01 Per Hour
