The Ark-Tex Council of Governments (ATCOG) is now accepting applications for 9-1-1 Program Technician, Announcement #2602. This is a part-time position located in the Texarkana, Texas, 9-1-1 Department. The position assists the 9-1-1 Program Coordinator in the implementation, calendar development, and presentations of 9-1-1 Public Education in reference to 9-1-1 public use and existing and new service offerings and assists with program administrative duties as needed.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
High school diploma or GED.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSA's)
Knowledge of standard internet use. Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures; spelling, punctuation and grammar; electronic/manual records and file storage retention and retrieval; and general office equipment required.
Skills:
Proficiency using PC with Microsoft Word in a Windows environment. Ability to understand and follow instructions; prepare records, and correspondence neatly and professionally. Ability to see, hear, reach, stoop, bend, lift and carry up to 30 pounds required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license subject to an approved motor vehicle report and reliable transportation with valid proof of insurance for travel within the ATCOG region.
