Job Summary
Administrative Coordinator I – Agency (College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services), Texas A&M University – Texarkana.

Staff | Salary: $40,000 annually (approximately $3,333.33 per month).

Responsibilities- Participate in the planning and execution of administrative operations.
- Coordinate high-level operations of an agency or division.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance.
- Serve as office manager as required.
- Monitor office procedures and develop, evaluate, and ensure adherence to them.
- Review documents for supervisor.
- Attend meetings or committees on behalf of supervisor as needed.
- Analyze requirements for projects or initiatives.
- Provide technical information regarding administrative procedures, services, or programs.
- Apply, interpret, or assist in implementing management policies or operating practices.
- Develop administrative and technical procedures.
- Research, interpret, compile, and respond to inquiries about rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor compliance with policies and procedures, including programmatic accreditation.
- Perform special analyses and project summaries.
- Prepare sensitive reports with high visibility and impact; analyze information and make suggestions for improvement (e.g., faculty workload, overload, promotion, tenure, distance education courses).
- Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare itineraries.
- Coordinate meetings, seminars, and other special events; provide on-site support.
- Coordinate the maintenance of files, records, office supplies, or equipment.
- Make recommendations for process improvements, administrative changes, or new initiatives.
- Serve as liaison with dean’s office and various departments/units for preparing account reports, including credentialing.
- Serve as backup to staff in the Office of the Dean and perform administrative duties for the Division of Health Professions.
- Contribute to effective team management of all relevant problems, issues, and opportunities.
- Serve as liaison and point of contact for administrators.
- Coordinate workflow and may supervise staff and/or student workers.
- Assist the Division of Health Professions program specific admissions.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two (2) years of related experience.
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Planning and organization skills.
- Three (3) years of administrative experience.
- Three (3) years of Microsoft Office or related computer software experience.
- Accurate keyboarding ability.
- Experience with Docu Sign, FAMIS, Banner, Canopy, Workday, PDF document formats, Qualtrics, and Canvas.
- Excellent knowledge in business communications, spelling, punctuation, office procedures, and proofing skills.
- Previous experience at a Texas state agency and/or higher education entity.
- Ability to organize and set priorities, meet deadlines, maintain records, pay strict attention to detail, and prepare reports.
This position generally does not supervise employees.
